Refund Policy

At The Study Lounge Library, we strive to provide quality services and a welcoming environment for all members and visitors. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for payments made to the library.

1. Membership Fees
  • Non-Refundable: Membership fees are non-refundable once payment is processed, except in the case of a billing error or duplicate transaction.

  • Cancellation Before Activation: If a user cancels their membership before activation, a full refund may be issued upon written request within 7 days of payment.

2. Study Room / Seat Reservations
  • Cancellations with Notice:

    • A full refund will be granted if the reservation is canceled at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Late Cancellations or No-Shows:

    • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the reserved time, or failure to show up, are not eligible for a refund.

  • Library-Initiated Cancellations:

    • If we must cancel a reservation due to maintenance, closures, or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund or rescheduling option will be offered.

3. Events, Workshops, or Paid Programs
  • Cancellations by Participants:

    • Refunds for events are available if cancellation is requested at least 48 hours before the event starts.

  • Cancellations by Library:

    • If an event is canceled by the library, a full refund will be issued automatically to all registered participants.

4. Book Sales or Merchandise (if applicable)
  • Returns Accepted Within 7 Days: Items purchased from the library shop may be returned within 7 days, in unused and original condition, with a receipt.

  • Non-Refundable Items: Certain items (e.g. used books, stationery) may be marked final sale and are not eligible for return or refund.

5. Refund Process
  • All refund requests must be made in writing via email or in person at the front desk.

  • Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

  • The library reserves the right to refuse a refund if the request does not meet the conditions stated above.
